Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response towards DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell won an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell was a reporter and anchor for a time working in Charleston as a reporter and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends. O'Dell's current role as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's reported on major the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys. She also hosts the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
